Wouldn't email, icq, yahoo or aol-IM be just as good, without letting everyone else know that you have some kinda "secret" to tell her? It's almost like passing-notes a classroom.

That is something I've noticed around this board.... a lack of trust. Few people have visible email addy's, nobody has their icq or aim listed, and it's not very common that a city/state is listed as a location.

I used to have a lot of fun calling posters upon another board over the phone & trying to organize actual get-together/parties among those who could make travel arrangements.

I personally am leary of that because of all the crazy people out there. You hear all these horrible stories about people meeting online and one of em killing the other. I gots a kid and a husband to think of, so I just am careful of that stuff.

There is only one person I have actually talked to on the telephone from meeting online and that is prolly the only one I ever will, you just can't trust folks these days. i guess i come to these boards to "escape reality" a bit and have some fun.

That "yes" up there, it could git cha in alotta trouble. ~evil grin~

The only problem I've ever had with a Net-party was other "poster/attendees" leaving a mess behind in hotel rooms. And if there are at least a few people there, & you've given a copy of the address/phone#/names/etc. to a couple friends, believe it unlikely anyone's gonna go psycho.

Just some ideas.
